Atlanta Latino Lions Club, 20 Years of Service

We are grateful to Betty Robles Dextre, member of the club  for helping us write this article!
The Atlanta Latino Lions Club founded 20 years ago, has an impeccable record of serving the community through screenings, prevention services and community assistance to families in need.
A 100% volunteer group based in Marietta, the Atlanta Latino Lions Club stretches bonds within its members through a variety of activities, encouraging individuals to support each other and give back and currently have close to 30 members that contribute monthly or annually to the many activities and programs the club develops.
In the last few years, hundreds of individuals and especially children have benefitted from diabetic screenings and treatment (for those without medical insurance), vision screenings and distribution of glasses, educational scholarships as well as disaster relief efforts directed to Mexico after last year’s earthquake
On April 28, a fabulous fashion show including beauty makeovers was schedule as a way to raise funds for the important labor the club does.
The next project and event of this very active service club include a bingo on July 08. All funds raised will be allocated to Latino student scholarships.
The Atlanta Latino Lions Club is poised to become one of the most active Clubs in Georgia.
