The Latino Community Fund supports Latino-serving and Latino-led nonprofit organizations and the Latinx community as a whole in Georgia. This support includes advocacy work, program development, technical assistance, grant making and more.
Our mission is to be a catalyst for investment, collaborative work, and positive narrative with and within the Latinx/Hispanic community in Georgia. In working toward our mission, we focus all that we do around three key pillars.
Advance People’s Democracy
We advance people’s democracy and drive positive narratives through advocacy, civic engagement and participation, and storytelling focused on contributions and opportunity. We encourage, promote and do all we can to ensure that every individual can participate in the democratic processes that exist in this country.
Protect and Build Community
To protect and build community, it’s essential to support the organizations that already serve it. We increase capacity within Latino-led and Latino-serving nonprofits, including those within immigrant and refugee communities, by developing programs, providing technical assistance and offering grants. We provide funding and education to micro-entrepreneurs, and we support programs offering critical and preventative healthcare services.
We also work to spread awareness of the realities of our community through research, as well as vital resources and information on current services and programs that we make available to the community.
Facilitate Economic Opportunity
We invest in our community. We work with corporations, foundations, families, and individuals to allocate investments according to strategic priorities in effective, efficient and impactful programming and organizations. We are grantmakers, and we offer educational scholarships and financial assistance for naturalization through our member agencies and partners.
Within the Latinx community in Georgia, we advance people’s democracy. We protect and build community. And we facilitate economic opportunity. All so that our diverse, hardworking and generous community can not only survive, but thrive across the state.
2022 Strategic Plan
Our Board of Directors approved a 3-year Strategic Plan to guide and focus our work at a time of diverse and pressing issues impacting the Latino community in Georgia
