Facilitate Economic Opportunity

We facilitate economic opportunities for the Latinx community in Georgia through financial assistance, scholarships and grantmaking for both community organizations and individuals.

Grants for Member and Partner Organizations

We offer operational and capacity-building grants to our member and partner organizations in order to fund and develop programs, fill gaps, and better serve their communities. This work also includes grants around advocacy and civic participation.

In order to ensure that organizations led and governed by the Latinx community have the resources that they need to create, design, coordinate and deliver effective programs that are culturally appropriate, many of these grants are only available to our member organizations.

Delivering on the Dream

Through our Delivering on the Dream – Georgia coalition, we provide grant funding to immigrant, BIPOC and LGTBQ-led community groups throughout Georgia.

Micro-Entrepreneur Grants

We also provide grants in the form of seed funding to micro-entrepreneurs who are working with our member organizations to grow their businesses.

Educational Scholarships

Through dedicated funds, we offer annual $1,000 educational scholarships to Latinx students across the state. These scholarships are open to the public, as well as available through working with our member organizations. Some scholarships are available to help pay for arts and sports enrichment beginning in middle school, while others are general and dedicated to high school students.

All scholarships can be used to cover education-related expenses, such as books and tuition, as well as unrelated educational expenses that can impact attainment, attendance and student potential, like transportation, food, clothes and shelter.

Dream Big Sport and Art Scholarship

Founded by the Lavender Family in McDonough, GA; this fund provides financial assistance to low-income children who want to pursue their love for arts and sports as essential enrichment activities for themselves. The fund’s goal is to ensure every single child has the ability to pursue their passions. Learn more about this fund and support it here.

“I would like to thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to learn more of piano, because I was asking for lessons for a long time. This will help me a lot. I am very hopeful and happy.”

Financial Assistance for Naturalization

We provide financial assistance to qualifying Green Card holders ready to naturalize through our member organizations.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Program provided young Latinos access to higher education financing, better positioned them for US Citizenship, and allowed youth to better contribute to society by accessing improved employment and business opportunities.

While we wait for Congress to decide on the future of these young individuals that arrived in the U.S. before their sixteenth birthday and have no criminal record, we are focusing on supporting non-partisan civic engagement for Latinx residents in Georgia.
