|While National Hispanic Heritage Month officially started on September 15th, already thousands of Latinx/Hispanics in Georgia have shared their love for their culture, traditions and community in one or more of the many celebrations our member and partner organizations have led in the state. Whereas is art(stop by Plaza Las Americas in Gwinnett and vote for your favorite mural!), Latin American cuisine (we are still debating our favorite dishes from the many Chefs) at Celebrating our Heritage “Saborea Atlanta” from Ser Familia, or folklore (with the beautiful colors and music from dozens of groups showcased at “Festival del Sabor”) by the Coalition of Latino Leaders in Dalton or learning about voting rights and ensuring civic participation in this year’s municipal election (GALEO), our community celebrates and honors our heritage in various and diverse ways|
